Brief introduction of components :
Mapserver: It is a open source GIS developement environment
Mapfile: It is used to configure the map to be drawn
CGI Mapserver: It is provides with many functions to work on GIS mapping solutions
Templates: These are used to customize, modify the display of map and query environment
Mapscript: It enables access to Mapserver C API through various scripting language such as
Python, Ruby, Perl and using PHP
